My Sewing Studio
Sewing loft facing storage areas. View from pantograph studio to sewing studio.
Studio storage begins at the top of the stairway. The sewing loft faces toward the south, overlooking the house dining-living room. Note the huge design board on the left wall, used to make sure compositions are well-balanced before stitching them together. McQuaid uses two sewing machines, so that when one is in use for embroidering out an image, the other is available for other kinds of stitching. The pantograph machine is used strictly for stitching layers together, while the other two machines are used for myriad other processes.
Studio storage begins at the top of the stairway.
