Artist Statement 

This is a 12" block created for the Walla Walla Valley Quilt Guild Habit for Humanity quilt. We were each to make any kind and color of house block. I chose "Americana" colors and imagery. Basically, Americana is a 21-piece Carol Doak paper-pieced block that I blew up to 12". When Guild members finish the entire quilt, it will be presented to the lucky next family who receives a Habitat for Humanity house. There is nothing like a quilt to warm up a house, and I am proud of being a member of a Guild that participates in such endeavors!
