Sometimes people are curious about
your where you work, so I thought I would show you my pantograph studio,
where I do my heavy quilting. I call this my "On Edge Art Studio,"
because I am usually on edge when I pantograph.
After all the piecing, embroidery and
composition done on the top layer (or layers), you have to put all the
layers of the quilt together to add dimension. Just think about putting
stitches all over that work of art that you have spent hours putting
together to bring to the brink of human perfection! |

There's a lot of room for human error in this
last step.Well, every quilter has to
do it, and I'm no different. Like most quilters, once I get into the
swing of the stitching, I actually enjoy it. But running those first few
stitches is like diving into Lake Tahoe. It's cold and it's scary.
Anyway, I have a lovely studio to work in,
and turning on the stereo is always an option. Think of Alexander Calder
-- he almost always painted to music. --Salli
